I Finally Work from a Table
Good Morning inhabitants of the Cosmos.
I just posted an entry almost 12 hours ago. Has anything changed? Tomorrow is today and I'm sitting at my work table instead of the bed. You know, I haven't had a proper work table ever since I started working from home 4 years ago. I have mostly worked from my bed, cars, and cafe tables. I finally got a very cheap one last year but now with a million pains in my body, I had to invest in a good chair. So I have finally arrived to the space that many professionals work from. When your back is well-supported, focus will inevitably be better.
Why am I going on about the importance of a good chair? We don't realize how sometimes the most basic things hold us back from our true potential. A healthy diet and exercise are a great example. I believe not a single adult today would be in the dark about the benefits of both. If a person wakes up one day to wonder, "How do I better my life?", diet and exercise are more often than not the starting points. Yet, I have not exercised consistently in months. I just moved to Gurgaon 2 months ago. From Goa. Yes, you read that right. I willingly moved out of Goa into Gurugram. We'll delve into the whys in later entries. But now I don't live alone anymore, and the onus of taking care of myself is shared at least a little with my father. And the house help. So now, at least my diet is sorted. But the cons of living in a hyper-cosmopolitan city? The infinite ways you can spend your money. A crucial one being food. Cafes, resto-bars, Swiggy, Zomato, Blinkit, and probably a hundred others I'm thankfully not aware of yet. So even though I have access to a full-time cook who can make me healthy meals, I am not strong enough yet to not get tempted by advertisements for all these money-spending ways.
In this moment though, I am eating watermelon and drinking coffee. Didn't do any exercise but I am sitting on this posture-helping chair. Today is the day I start to work on my dreams that I have neglected for 4 years. It should make sense that my back is supported for that.
